KS3 Online Safety

Welcome to Key Stage 3 Online Safety.

I am Miss Watson and I am the Online Safety Lead for Key Stage 3. As you know we have a dedicated team at Kings Priory to deal with any  Online Safety concerns, but also to provide support and teaching around being safe online users. I myself use the internet, social media and all that entails throughout my daily life. That is why I really enjoy my role as it allows me to educate and encourage pupils to ensure they are responsible online citizens, who are inquisitive and safe. I believe the internet is a great tool for many reasons: research into different topics, communication with friends and family, and gaming networking to name a few. This has evolved massively throughout my lifetime, from ringing friends on their landline, to now using Facetime and from watches literally only telling the time, to them now being able to send texts, inform me about my daily activity and play games. Our initiative as part of King Priory School is to ensure pupils are equipped with the skills and knowledge into the responsible use of the online world so that they can thrive and utilise the internet and other online platforms to their best capacity.

The online world is constantly changing and updating, lets all help each other to make the most of it!
